OCT4 gene expression level:a comparison between Human Testis Tissueand Human Testis-Derived Cells

Several reports have indicated that the cells derived from human testis show characteristics similar to pluripotent stem cells (1). However, according to the recent literature, there is a controversy regarding the pluripotency of the cell cultures from human testis (2). OCT4 is a transcription factor genegenerally expressed in pluripotent stem cells (3). In this study, the level of OCT4gene expressionis compared between human testis tissue andhuman testis-derived cells (hTCs).
