Optimizing of Somaclonal embryogenesis in Valeriana officinalis in Vitro Conditions

Valerian (Valeriana officinalisL.) of genus Valerianaceae have sedative, antispasmodic and anti HIV properties which have been ascribed to the presence of valepotriates, and isovalerenic acid3 and borneol derivatives, which are produced in the roots and rhizomes of the intact plants. As an alternative to obtain these active compounds of great pharmaceutical interest, in vitro production has been evaluated, in callus cultures and embryogenesis in various s tissues from V. officinalis. The optimal goal of the paper was to study the effect of different medias in ebryogenesis
