Abstract:

Self-compacting concrete, the first time in 1986 was used in Japan and quickly spread in other countries. The most important feature of normal concrete self-compacting concrete that distinguishes it, it's enormous psychological causes The self-compacting concrete to flow easily under its own weight and without any additional energy to be dense. Despite the many benefits of self-consolidating concrete, it should be noted that much of the concrete mental problems, along with the lack of attention to the quality of concrete can cause serious problems. One of these problems is unstable, which means heterogeneity in the distribution of constituent materials of concrete. If the instability is not controlled properly, can work just as well as self-compacting concrete, mechanical properties and durability of hardened self-compacting concrete have a negative impact. In this study the feasibility of zeolite and rice husk ash as a viscosity modifier self-consolidating concrete mixes was evaluated. For this purpose, the mixture control was designed in such a way that the amount of unsustainable and these powders impact on the stabilization of unstable mixture was evaluated and then the effect of zeolite and rice husk ash on shrinkage of the dry was also studied. To evaluate the efficacy of the powder used on the properties of self-compacting concrete mix design 17, was predicted. Powders used in the 5, 10, 15, 20% by weight of cement and added two alternatives were used. And testing of the slump, funnel V, T50, and L and separation column was static. The results showed good performance zeolite and ash of rice bran on the stability properties of the SCC is to maintain stability. The replacement of up to 20% by weight of zeolite and ash of rice bran in order to reduce shrinkage to 18.8 and 22.4 percent relatively to the mixture control.
