Abstract:
Achievement to conditions with more economic efficiency has been of the main objectives of construction projects, so that reinforcement of bed soil in these projects can be effective in obtaining of those objective. In order to realize those objectives, wide studies have been conducted which resulted in very various methods of improvement (physical, mechanical, and chemical). In this way, due to efficacy and special capabilities of mechanical methods, using of Polypropylene fibers have drawn much attraction due to special characteristics of this fiber. Straight cut tests was performed on samples containing zero to one percent fiber, and zero to 20 percent zeolite. The results reveals that presence of 0.75% fibers and 15% zeolite results in the best strength and the most optimum strength parameters. Also, presence of fibers increases the final strain and prevents the soil from brittle fracture.
