AN EXAMINATION OF THE EFFECT OF MODERN GAMES ONPRESCHOOLERS’ VISUAL MEMORY AND MENTAL ROTATION abstract
The present study was conducted aiming to examine the effect of modern gameson preschoolers’ visual memory and mental rotation. The statistical populationwas comprised of all the preschoolers studying at Shiraz, from which, givenlimitations of the research, a total of 30 students were selected usingconvenience sampling method. Furthermore, to collect the research data, Rey’svisual memory and Vandenberg’s mental rotation tests were utilized. Moreover,in order to analyze the collected data, analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) wasemployed. Results, yielded from statistical analysis, indicated that moderngames have a significant effect on preschoolers’ visual memory and mentalrotation.
