Abstract:

CeF3:Dy3+ nanoparticles (NPs) were successfully synthesized through an obvious hydrothermal method, with deionized (DI) water as solvent. In this project, we had used surfactant to create a coverage in order to control the size of NPs. To characterize the sample (CeF3:Dy3+), some experimental techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) spectrum were used. According to the results, CeF3:Dy3+ NPs are well crystallized and also our product is in hexagonal phase. The average size of NPs using XRD pattern is in compatible with FE-SEM results. Moreover, luminescence properties were achieved by means of PL and TL spectrum.
