An Interleaved High Step-Up DC-DC Converter With Low Input Current Ripple abstract

A new interleaved high step-up DC-DC converter is presented in this paper. Coupled inductors with series secondary windings are used in order tominimize the input current ripple and extend the voltagegain. Passive clamp capacitors are used to absorb the leakage energy and recycle it to the output. So, voltagestress across switches is low and efficiency is improved. Due to charge- balance of clamp capacitor, the converter has inherent current sharing capability between two interleaved legs without any extra control circuit. All the mentioned advantages are gathered in a simple structurewith low component count. The converter structure and its operational modes are explained. A 40V input, 320V output, 130W prototype is implemented and examined in order to confirm the performance of the converter.
