Abstract:

Numerical modeling of a thermal fin has been considered in this paper. Reduced basis method (RBM) has been used to solve parameterized conduction heat transfer partial differential equations (PDEs) as well as relating input parameters to the output of the interest. The solution process has been decomposed to the online and offline stages. In the offline stage, the finite element (FE) of solution of the PDE, regardless of input parameters is conducted and the Reduced Basis is constructed using Greedy algorithm. In the online stage, having certain value of parameters the output of interest has is calculated with rather small computational costs. Using a posteriori error analysis it is shown that the numerical results are accurate and reliable
