Sensoreless Field-Oriented Control (Vector Control) ofInduction Machines with MRAS using back e.m.f

This Paper is to estimate inductionmotor speed from measured terminal voltages andcurrents for tacholess vector control. The proposedapproach is based on observing the counterelectromotive force vector. The describedtechnique is robust to variations of motorparameters. It does not require any pureintegration of sensed variables in principle, thus,achieving much wider bandwidth speed controlthan previous tacholess drives. The name of thetechnique is MRAS that is abbreviated for modelreference adaptive system
