Surveying the Relationship between Leadership style and Job satisfaction Rate of Payam-e-Noor University Personnel abstract

The research aims to survey the relationship between the managers' leadership style and job satisfaction rate of Payam-e-Noor university personnel of shush, Dezful, Andimeshk and Alvan towns in 2014-2015 educational year. The statistical population of the personnel (including professors, office personnel and etc.) is organized in 2012-2013 out of which 133 individuals are chosen as sample. The data collecting instruments are two closed – response questionnaires related to leadership style and job satisfaction. The first hypothesis of research propounds there is a significant relationship between managers' leadership style and the job satisfaction rate of the personnel in the statistical population. The second hypothesis of the research explains there is a significant relationship between authoritative-exploitative leadership style and personnel satisfaction rate in the statistical population. The third hypothesis of the research declares there is a significant relationship between Likert authoritative-benevolent leadership style and the personnel job satisfaction rate in the statistical population. The fourth hypothesis of the research propounds there is a significant relationship between the consultative leadership style and personnel job satisfaction in the statistical population. The fifth hypothesis of research declares there is a significant relationship between participative leadership style and the personnel job satisfaction in the statistical population. As a whole, the research shows there is no relationship between authoritative- exploitative and authoritative-benevolent style and the job satisfaction and there is no relationship between Likert consultative and participative style and job satisfaction rate. And there is a direct and significant relationship between participative and consultative style and the personnel job satisfaction rate and it means the leadership quality influences an organization’s different processes such as decision-making manner, communications, cooperation of members, constructing an appropriate and desired occupational environment which provides personal needs and reaches the organizational goals effectively, and is accounted the most important factor. Therefore, it is worth considering this factor to be one of the personnel job satisfaction components.
