Linguistic Analysis of English Translations of Quran: A Case Study of Yasin Surah

The holy Quran is a divine book and its translation into other languages must be done meticulously. In this regard Persian and English translation of one of the surahs of this magnificent book was selected to be compared. The present study was an attempt to discover how Yasin surah was translated into English by three professional translators namely, Sarwar (2011), Yusuf Ali (2000) and Pickthall (1930) and what strategies they applied in rendering the verses into English in comparison to its Persian counterpart by Elahi Ghomshei (1361).
