Abstract:
In this study, calcium phosphate/graphene oxide (GO) composite coatings have been applied by ultrasonic assisted pulse electrochemical deposition technique on anodized titanium substrate. Since, preparing a composite coating with homogeneous distribution of GO leads to achieve more effective properties, the effect of ultrasonic waves during electrodeposition on distribution of GO was investigated by EDX maps. Also, SEM, EDX and FTIR were used to investigate the microstructure and functional groups identification of coatings, respectively. Additionally, Raman spectroscopy was carried out to prove successfully incorporation of GO into the composite coating. The results indicate that the coating obtained by the assistance of ultrasonication presents a different morphology with higher content of uniformly disperse GO nano-particles. However, with further increasing of ultrasonic power, the very strong agitating of electrolyte makes the particles adsorbed on the electrode surface return to the electrolyte again and decreases the GO content in the composite coating
