Abstract:
The Bi2Fe4O9 (BFO) nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by the chemical coprecipitation methods at room temperature. The pH value in this experiment was fixed on 9. Theas-prepared powders, characterized by the X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and vibration sample magnetometery (VSM). In the normal coprecipitationmethod, the pH value increases from the acidic region to the basic region. Bi(OH)3was formed in the acidic region and Fe(OH)3 was formed in the basic region and result to nonhomogeneityin the precipitate that causes impurities. The average size of crystallites was 80 nm calculated from the Scherer equation. The magnetic hysteresis loops show the anti-ferromagnetic (AFM) ordering in synthesized powders
