Abstract:

During the past 2 decades, electrically conducting conjugated polymers, such as polyaniline (PANI), have received considerable attention because of their remarkable electronic,magnetic, and optical properties. However, the applications of such polymers still remain limited because of two possiblereasons: 1. Most of the conducting polymers show a weak resistance; this leads to limitations in the field of applications requiringgood durability.2. One of the main difficulties in the control of the structure properties relationship is the insolubility of most of these polymers so that they cannot be characterized in solution. Tosolve the processability of PANI, several methods have been developed. [1-3] Nanocomposites consist of metal nanoparticles andconducting polymers have been synthesized and they have unique magnetic, electrical, optical, catalytic, and rheologicalproperties. Nanoparticles of iron oxides (Fe2O3 and Fe3O4) have received great deal of research attention due to their utilities as magnetic materials [4].The aim of the present study is to synthesis the Poly (anilineco (2 - ) and (3- ) aminobenzoic acid)/Fe3O4 nanocomposites(P(2-3)ABA/Fe3O4-NCs)with conducting and magneticproperties. The (P (2-3)ABA/Fe3O4-NCs) were prepared by copolymerizing aniline with (2-) and (3-aminobenzoic acids)in the presence of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The conductivity of composites was measurement by means of four probemethods. The composite structure was characterized by scanning electron microscopi (SEM), XRD and FT-IR spectroscopy.
