Procurement and characterization of sulfated carboxymethyl cellulose nanofilter membrane abstract

In this paper, sulfated carboxymethyl cellulose nanofilter membrane was prepared using SO3/Pyridine and glutaradehyde onto polysulfone supporting membrane and was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and Scanning electron microscopy techniques. To assessment the performance of the prepared nanofilter, different amount of SO3/Pyridine was applied and yield of nanofilters was evaluated. Based on the findings, increment of SO3/Pyridine raise the flux, while rejection percentage increased in separating of salt aqueous solutions and then decrease. It can be conclude, sulfated carboxymethyl cellulose nanofilter shows high separation yield in acidic pHs and improved the hydrophilicity and charge density of filter
