Designing closed-loop supply chain network with considering return valuable products: case study abstract
The issue of designing a supply chain network includes strategic decisions that have considerable effects on tactical and operational decisions. In this paper, we consider the target markets geography and value of return products to desing a multi-echelon, multi-product, multi-period, closed-loop supply chain network. The effects of using dual and multi-purpose facilities and market quota have been discussed. This paper not only considers greenness, but also maximizes the total profit of the network. The proposed network has three levels in order to forward (supplier, manufacturer and distributor and main customer) and two levels in backward (collection and inspection, recycling). The objective function is considered to maximize the total profit and structure of the model is based on linear mixed integer programing. the proposed model has been investigated through a case study regarding manufacturing constructional doors and windows. The results show that performance measures and total supply chain profits improve through increasing selling and customers trust.
