Synthesis, characterization, and properties of N- heteroaryl formamide derivatives in the presence of Al-MCM-41-nano catalyst abstract

In this work, an effective and efficient method for the synthesis of N- Heteroaryl formamides was investigated. In this project, reaction of Heteroaryl amines with formic acid in the presence of aluminum nanoparticles loaded on a regular porous silica MCM-41 (Al-MCM-41) as the catalyst at 60 ᵒC in the solvent free conditions led to the formation of a number of N- Heteroaryl formamide derivatives. All products were identified by 1H- NMR, 13C- NMR, FT-IR, mass spectrometry and melting point. Properties of this reaction can be no use of expensive catalysts, column chromatography and toxic solvents, high efficiency of the reaction, catalyst recovery capabilities, simple work- up and short reaction times
