Abstract:
According to the construction of industrial steel structures in developing countries, the importance of studying the seismic behaviour of such kinds of structures becomes evident. In this research, the overall structural behaviour is briefly described and 3 existing models of industrial steel structures with overhead cranes are selected. All models are assumed to have bolted connections, for which the damping ratio for all of them is taken into account equal with 10% of critical damping (ζ=10%), for nonlinear analysis. Equivalent Linear Static Analyses and structural design of models are completed, using AISE, and 4th ver. of Iranian 2800 seismic code. Then, accelerograms recorded on 3 soil categories of Rock (750
