Abstract:
Nanofibers of NiO, CoO, and NiCoO, spinel were prepared by sulfate precursors for the first time via electrospining technique. Electrospun nano fibers of PVA/nickel sulfate, PVAlcobalt sulfate and PVA/nickel sulfatescobalt sulfate composite were stabilized at 300 °C for 1 hour and then calcined at 600 °C for 2 hours in air atmosphere. The samples were characterized by XRD, EDS, SEM and TEM to investigate the crystallinity, purity and morphology of obtained fibers. The results revealed diameter of the Electrospun nanofibers were 439, 479 and 450 nm and after the calcination process, were reduced to 235, 259 and 310 nm for NiO, CoO, and NiCoO nano fibers respectively. TEM results show that the nano fiber spinel of NiCo.O., has formed with cubic nano particles which their lengths are varied from 30 to 70 nm.
