Comparison of nickel, copper and brass sheets as electrodes for oxygen evolution reaction in alkaline media abstract
Water electrolysis is the most promising method for efficient production of high purity hydrogen and oxygen gases. Low cost and non-precious metals with high activity and durability are the choice to replace expensive metals for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The aim of the present article is to evaluate the performance of nickel sheet, brass sheet and copper sheet as the anode in alkaline media. The activity and stability of the samples were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry.
