Abstract:
In this paper, we consider coordinating the supply chainscheduling problem and batch delivery in a flow shopmanufacturing system. The problem is to minimize the sumof weighted tardiness penalties and the delivery costs of thejobs, where the jobs are delivered in batches. A mixedinteger programming model is proposed for the problem. Inaddition, a particle swarm optimization algorithm is usedfor solving the large-scale instances. To explore and tolocate the algorithm in a better neighborhood, a LocalSearch is presented. To verify the developed model andevaluate the performance of algorithm against the exactsolution, a commercial solver is used. Furthermore, theinfluence of the different parameters and assumptions of theproposed model are discussed.
