LSB Steganography Algorithm Based on Chaotic Maps abstract

In this paper, firstly we have presented basic conceptions of steganography and Chaos Theory, then improved LSB steganography algorithm based on chaotic maps. The steganography system includes two major parts, chaotic encryption watermarking virtual image (resulted of secret text message called VWIM) and chaotic embedding into a virtual cover Image (resulted of LSB map of host image called VCIM). In the encryption process Logistic and Tent chaotic maps are used. Proposed embedding method includes two processes, the Arnold pseudorandom map generator of virtual cover image (resulted of least significant bits map of original host image) and embedding the encryption virtual watermarking image into it. Finally all parts of the proposed chaotic steganography system are simulated using Matlab. Proposed method is large enough to protect the system against any common and statistical attacks. It can improve the performance of image steganography.
