Applying R.B.I Method in Cheshmekhosh Unit of West Oil and Gas Company

Risk-based inspection is a me1hod for using risk as a basis for managing an inspection program. Risk-based inspection provides the ability to target inspection resource at the areas ofplant where inspection will provide the most benefit in reducing risk. Conventional method (rime Based Inspection) only concems the likelihood offuilure (LOp), but R.B.! is concemed about the consequences of failure (COF) too. Risk is defined as the combination ofthe probability of a failure and the consequence ofthe failure. In this article we tried to apply the R.B.! method for Cheshm.ekhosh units of west oil and Gas Company according to its thickness measurement data. Using the data we evaluated the amount ofrisk in chosen parts ofthis plant. According to this amount, we can manage the Inspection intervals. Other benefits of using the R.B.! method are Higher Safety, reducing the production costs and reducing in loss ofproduction by having an advanced inspection management.
