Abstract:

Breast cancer is the most common site-specific cancer in women that annual the enormous social, economic and health to the individual and society imposes. Since the main infrastructure planning andpolicy for the prevention, screening, early detection, treatment, etc, is a comprehensive information system, we decided to study the epidemiology of this cancer in the population covered during the period 2011 to 2015 consider Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.This study was a cross-sectional study, and all patients with a definite diagnosis of breast cancer in 2011 to 2015 years in IRAN that hasbeen recorded in the national cancer registry.During the five years 3917 known cases of breast cancer in the population covered by Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in the national cancer registryrecords of which were (98.4%) 3853 women and (1/6%) 64 men. The mean age of patients in the 4 years respectively was 49/8-50-51/3-51/3. breast cancer age specific standard rate (ASR) in female population over the years respectively was 45/87-53/39-49/9-51/5. The most common pathological form was invasive ductal carcinoma with (76.3%) 2991 and after invasive lobular carcinoma with (7.2%) 283. The results of this study show that the incidence of this cancer within 4 years of progressive and average ASR this cancer within 4 years was 50/1. The average age of patients is 50.6.The incidence ofbreast cancer continues to increase in Isfahan and the most common form was infiltrative ductal carcinoma
