Abstract:

Electromagnetic waves are a field generated by accelerated electrically charged particles. In fact, the interaction of two magnetic and electrical fields perpendicular to each other creates an electromagneticfield. recently, electromagnetic waves are used to diagnose and treat diseases such as cancer. The relationship between radiation and blood cancer is well documented. Blood cancer is a conditioncharacterized by excessive abnormal white blood cells in the blood. Neutrophils make up about 62% of all white blood cells in humans. After the onset of acute inflammation, the number of neutrophils inthe blood increases. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the percentage of blood neutrophils in mice exposed to electromagnetic fields. For this purpose, the mice were divided into two groups(n=8),control group and exposed to electromagnetic fields group for 30 days (frequency 50 Hz and 4MT for 240 minutes). After the end of experiment, Blood sampling was performed and the white blood cells(neutrophils) were counted. According to the results, low frequency of electromagnetic fields had a significant reduction in the percentage of neutrophils in the blood ( p ˂ 0/05). It can be concluded thatdiseases such as blood cancer, in which the number ofwhite blood cells (with the highest percentage of neutrophils) is increased, If patients are treated with electromagnetic fields, they reduce white bloodcells, especially their neutrophil counts, which can be used as adjuvant therapy
