Employment of modified Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles using 3-Allyloxy-1,2- propanediol and nvinylcaprolactam polymer to enhance drug delivery abstract

Nowadays drug delivery has been widely marked as a universal utopia among many scientists. Variety of researches has been taken place to improve drug delivery systems using diversity of carrier methods. Ceftriaxone Sodium (CFX-Na) as a functional antibiotic can be prescribed to treat infections of the lungs, ears, skin, urinary tract, blood, bones, and abdomen, resulted by bacteria. Temperature- sensitive polymer belongs to group of substances which perform a gigantic change of their physical features in response to the temperature. Recent polymer can be widely used in different areas, resembling drug delivery and chromatography. In recent study, modified Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles (NPs) were applied to extract CFX-Na from human Urine and plasma. Modification of Fe₃O₄ NPs was done using 3-Allyloxy-1,2-propanediol (AP), n-vinylcaprolactam (NVC) polymer and characteristics of these modified NPs were examined by techniques such as FT-IR, SEM, VSM, TGA and XRD. Effective parameters such as pH, adsorption time, desorption and adsorption temperature on loading CFX-Na on NPs were refined and investigated. Biological samples were analysed in optimal condition and contentment recoveries were obtained. Consequently, Simulation of stomach and intestine media was conducted to probe application of modified Fe₃O₄ NPs by thermo-sensitive polymer and successful results were acquired.
