Abstract:
An investigation was conducted to evaluate the ability of 2-(2-(2-aminophenyl) disulfanyl) benzenamine (L1) following the administration of nickel chloride in male Wister rats. Nickel was introduced to several groups of male Wistar rats through in drinking water. After a period of 60 days, chelation therapy was carried out to remove the toxic nickel from the body. The ability of 2-(2-(2-aminophenyl) disulfanyl) benzenamine (L1) to remove nickel has been investigated. The results shown that the nickel level present in the serum and organs was significantly reduced and, at the same time, the iron concentration has returned to the normal level. It was concluded that L1 chelator is able to remove nickel from biological systems.
