Approaches of Islamic republic of Iran Armed forces insurance organization toward cancer

Introduction: Islamic republic of Iran Armed forces insurance organization in line with National documents is not only a treatment insurance but also with supportive approach towards its insured cancer patients. For the reason, mentioned organization bears a great deal of expenditure. The purpose of this study is to assess Islamic republic of Iran Armed forces insurance organization approach towards it insured cancer patients. Method and material: In this study the data s in our database which were gathered since 2008 were analyzed and information were generated. We used evidence based information and recommendations for promoting the level of service provided. Result: The three most common and high cost cancer was Breast cancer, colorectal cancer and stomach cancer among armed forces in Iran. For reducing the costs, the organization turned to strategic purchasing, healthy approaches instead of previous treatment approaches such as cancer screening and early detection programs for the common cancers.Conclusion: With the use of mentioned approaches Islamic republic of Iran armed forces insurance organization did reduce its costs while its quality has been maintained.
