Abstract:

Epigenetic is the study of heritable chemical changes that occur on DNA and histone molecules, notably DNA methylation and histone deacetylation.Changes in cancer can be divided in two groups, epigenetically changes and genetically changes. The studies, suggests that epigenetic changes occur much earlier than genetic changes and provide the context for further changes and cancer progression. This early epigenetic changes, considered as as a biomarker for early detection of breast cancer. There for, some studies have been conducted to design a epigenetically diagnostic panel for early detection of breast cancer.Materials and methods For this study, orginal and review articles from data bases, such as Embase and pubmed from 2008-2013 were used. Results Empirical research on cancer tissue was carried out at all stages of the disease, Indicates in the groups of genes (RASSF1A, TWIST, HIN1,Cyclin D2, p16, p15) hypermethylation occurred in CpG island of promoters. The study of mi-RNA shows that miR-145 (with 90% specificity and sensitivity)is a good biomarker for early diagnosis of breast cancer. Conclusions Studies on breast cancer, indicating that many epigenetic and genetic changes occurs in cancer tissue. The major problem in designing a gene panel for early detection of breast cancer is Identify early stages of cancer, according to it, the early changes be detected.the molecular analaysis of this gene panels may be useful for early diagnosis.
