Introduction: Breast cancer is known the most common malignancy among women. According to the national cancer registry statistics in Iran, as in most Western countries, this cancer is the most common malignant disease in women. This study pays attention to Epidemiology of breast cancer in Qazvin in 2014 Method: This study is a descriptive and analytical research. The breast cancer data has been collected from all pathology centers in Qazvin in 2014 based on the recorded information which was statistically analysed by Pars software. Results: Population of Qazvin is 1235957, which 74.5% of that is urban and 25.5% is rural. In 2014, 1403 cases of cancer were recorded in Qazvin. Incidence of Cancer is 113.5 /100000. 51% of cancer has been in men and 49% in women. The incidence rate of the most prevalent cancers is as follows: skin(22), breast(15.3), colorectal(13.3), stomach(12.8) /100000. The incidence rate of the most prevalent cancers in women is as follows: breast(31), skin(18.1), colorectal(13.6), stomach(9.5)/100000. The following findings were obtained in patients with breast cancer: The incidence of breast cancer in urban areas is 31.5/100000 and in rural areas is 29.5/100000. 98.5% of the patients were women. The average age of breast cancer has been 48.7 years, that is 10 years less than the global statistics. More than half of cancer (56.6%) happened in the age group of 30 to 49. Conclusions: Unfortunately, in our country the peak frequency of breast cancer among women is in the forth and fifth decades of their lives. According to other studies, it is one decade earlier than international statistics. Therefore, it is recommended all women under 40 be examined by a physician or an obstetrician expert for one to two times a year.According to PHC in Islamic Republic of Iran, all woman over 40 should do self examination and physical examination regularly. Moreover, they are recommended to do mammography,(breast imaging), annually. Repeating the survey on a regular basis can detect breast cancer at an early stage. Further studies on risk factors of breast cancer are required in order to control and reduce the burden of disease in the community.
