The Scientific Production and Mapping of researchers in Breast Cancer during 1985– 2015 in Iran in Web of Sciences

Introduction and Aim: Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death in Iranian women. The aim of this study was determining the numbers of scientific products in thefield of Breast Cancer In Iran, those indexed in Web of Sciences database during 1985-2015 Method: This research was done in descriptive survey in scientometric method. 1897 documents, which had indexed in web of sciences database by world researchers, were found in this field with the keywords of TS=( Breast Cancer OR Breast Neoplasm ) AND CU=IRAN in Iran during 1985 to 2015. By using Interdisciplinary Research (IDR), HistCite™ ،and descriptive statistic software, Excel, the rate of scientific products was analyzed in the field of Breast Cancer during this period (31years) Results: Average outcomes growth in Breast Cancer, was 2.46 in IRAN during 5recently years. Iran with 1897 articles about breast cancer ranked was 30 in the world. Ghaderi A with 57 subjects were the most Article deals in this field. Jiang XJ, Kim DH, Tanaka K, Wang F, Yamamoto A, Yu L and Zhang L with 2358 citations and University of Tehran Medical Sciences with a 24.9 percent also with 3351 citations, Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention with producing 9.5% and Autophagy Journal with 1179 citations had the highest distribution in scientific production in this field. Conclusion:In our study, Iran s scientific outputs about breast cancer on web of sciences have been rising since 2003.
