Abstract:

The evolution of cloud computing over the past few years is potentially one of the major advances in the history of computing. However, if cloud computing is to achieve its potential, there needs to be a clear understanding of the various issues involved. There is an equally urgent need for understanding the business-related issues surrounding CC1. From a business2 perspective, the way an organization operates critical business processes and their quality of service3 is key to business operating success. Cloud computing is an applications development system that offers a multitude of functions for a variety of business applications. Customer relationship management4 is an important function in any business, and cloud computing supports a myriad of CRM functions. With cloud computing, small companies can look like a big company because they have easy and affordable access to a broad expanse of applications and services. Today, Most companies use multiple cloud services like IBM, Apple, Microsoft, etc. Conforming to business and IT5 experts, cloud computing opens up doors for new business opportunities. Companies in the telecommunications, financial services, media and entertainment industries can now enter new markets that are unreachable before with the use of cloud computing. According to the reasons mentioned above and because of just looking at cloud computing from a technical infrastructure point of view is potentially missing the wider picture of the impact of technology on the business; the focus of this paper lies on the business aspects of cloud computing.
