Simulation of sweetening unit in gas refinery by ASPEN HYSYS and Analyzing components performances with hot gas feed abstract

One of the important process units in gas refineries is gas sweetening unit or unit 101. The main purpose of unit 101 is omitting acidic components such as H2S and CO2 from natural gas. By absorption with Amine solutions sour gas turn to sweet gas during a pyrogenic reaction. If input gas’s temperature be high, the performance of absorption column will face some difficulties like foaming, amine lost, high temperature in output gas and etc. In this study the unit 101 is simulated with ASPEN HYSYS software in high temperature condition (the temperature of gas feed is high) and then the performances of major items are analyzed.
