Abstract:
The caffeine solubility in supercritical CO2 was studied by assessing the effects of pressure and temperature on the extraction of green coffee oil (GCO). The SRK equation of state was used to correlate the solubility of caffeine with a thermodynamic model and the equilibrium of solid-vapor (SVE) rule. Also this article presents another models for solubility of Artemisinin, β_Carotene, Capsaicin, and Cholesterol besides the main subject which is caffeine. The results demonstrate proposed model has good agreement with experimental data whereas can predict the solubility of different materials into supercritical CO2.
