New Magnetic Chitosan/ N-nicotinyl,N ,N -bis(morpholinyl)Phosphorictriamide Nanocomposite: Preparation and Antibacterial Study abstract

In this research, N-Nicontinyl-N ,N -bis(morpholinyl) phosphoric triamide(MPt), was used as an additives in the structure of a new magnetic nanocomposite based on chitosan. The fabricated framework (NC), which contains chitosan/ Fe3O4 NPs (10%) /MPt(5%), was characterized by using X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) methods. Also, the antibacterial activity of the prepared film was evaluated against two Gram-positive: Bacillus cereus (B. cereus), Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and two Gram-negative: Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa), Escherchia coli (E. coli)bactria in Brain-Heart Infusion (BHI)agar medium. Antibacterial test results displayed that this nanocomposite has acceptable antibacterial activities; however, its antibacterial effects are not as strong as the silver contained similar nanicomposite. Furthermore, the activity of NC against gram-negative bacteria was more than gram-positive ones.
