Abstract:
The study of thermodynamic properties of drugsis one method to study the interactions between drug andsolvent to find the best solvent in pharmaceutical fields. In this work the thermodynamic properties includingvolumetric properties have been measured at T = (288.15 to 318.15 K).The measured data have been applied tocalculate, standard partial molar volume and transfer volume and used to discuss various solute-solventinteractions.The transfer quantities are positive and increase with increasing molality of the ionic liquid. The calculatedthermodynamic parameters values confirm the strong solute – solvent interactions between Ionic Liquid and cefazolinsodium.
