Abstract:

In this work, the thermodynamic properties of the ternary (NaNO3+DMF+water) system were reportedusing the potentiometric method. The potentiometric measurements were performed on the galvanic cell of the type:NO3-ISE|NaNO3 (m), DMF (W/W%), H2O|Na −ISE, in various mixed solvent systems containing 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20.%mass fraction of DMF over total ionic strengths from 0.0100 mol·kg−1 to 2.500 mol·kg−1 at T= 298.2 K and P= 0.1MPa. The obtained results were interpreted by using Pitzer ion interaction model. Then, Pitzer parameters for each of them were determined and utilized to calculate the values of mean activity coefficientsfor the whole series of under investigated electrolyte solutions.
