Evaluating strategic collaboration using project managementperspective: the case of Renault Pars abstract
Evaluation plays a significant role in designing, implementing and learning from a technology transfer (TT) process.In fact, TT projects are organized/managed as a project, and thus it is important to know how the projectmanagement (PM) approach can influence the effectiveness of a TT which is of particular importance in theinternational context in which overseas players engaged. This paper suggests a new approach in which PMperspective is integrated with TT evaluation framework. This study builds a new conceptual framework andoperationalizes it in a case study method. The empirical case is a joint-venture collaboration between Iranian andFrench companies in the car industry. This paper shows that by integrating PM and TT evaluation frameworks, it ispossible to reach an efficient framework to study the effectiveness of a cross-border TT project.
