Managerial capabilities auditing for an efficient technology transfer (Case study: Iranian ICT Firms) abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is one of the most important high technologies indeveloping countries. We have researched technological capabilities for efficient technology transfer inIranian ICT firms. The five technological capabilities that are situated in Iranian ICT firms include:capabilities required before transfer, managerial capabilities, technical and technological capabilities,technology selection and contract agreement capabilities, and entity authority capabilities. One of theimportant categories of technological capabilities is managerial capabilities. The results show the IranianICT firms can use a suitable mechanism for the audit of managerial capabilities before technologytransfer for efficient technology transfer.The Friedman test model is used for technological capability rankings and the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) model is used for managerial capability rankings. The main results of this article show that themanagerial capabilities have the top five ranks according to types of capabilities. The managerialcapabilities have six sub capabilities that have maximum effect on efficient technology transfer in IranianICT firms.
