Improving Maintenance Strategies by increasing Equipment Reliability at the Design Phase abstract
The main concern of the maintenance managers around the world is to provide accurate and inexpensive strategies to maintain the machinery and equipment of companies. But in many cases, this issue can not be realized. one of the main reasons for the ineffectiveness of maintenance programs is the nature of the equipment. In the sensethat the device at the design phase is subject to significant defects and not very reliable. As a result, it will be inoperative at the time of operation, and any kind of program will be ineffective and in some cases may be useless. In this study, the importance of calculating reliability in the design phase of the product were examined by using anapplied example. The results indicate that the newly designed system has reduced the loss of 400 tons of the product in 6months.
