Abstract:

This article investigated the effect of classroom blogging use on EFL learners ‘metalinguistic awareness in their writing performance. The participants were 100 university level students which selected out of the TOEFL sample test performance. . Students randomly assigned in two groups. Group1, giving in-class writing instructions. Group 2, giving weblog integrated writing instruction. The participants in each group took part in a Meta linguistic awareness pre-test and post-test.the data analayzed through dependend and independent sample T-test to find out if there is any significant relationship between variables. The results revealed that using weblog increases students’ metalinguistic awareness on their writings. This study’s findings and suggestions for future blogging projects can serve as a template for integrating blogging into the EFL urriculum.
