Relationship between organizational climates with Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Campus Recreation Administrations

Abstract:

Background: Organizational Citizenship behaviors (OCB) are those behaviors for which employees are neither rewarded by the organization in monetary terms nor employees are forced to show such behaviors but it contributes a lot in organizational effectiveness. The aim of this study was to determine of relationship between Job Satisfaction with organizational citizenship behavior in campus recreation administrations of Islamic Azad University in Iran. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted in 400 campus recreation administrations of Islamic Azad University in Iran in 2014.In this cross-sectional study was performed on 224 randomly selected administrations. Data werecollected through the organizational climates questionnaire developed by hoy & miskel and the organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire employed by Organ and Konovsky. For appointment of questionnaires, validity of the method, content-related validity, and to assess scale the reliability of the questionnaires, cronbach salpha coefficient was used. Results and Discussions: Reliability coefficient was calculated for the questionnaires. It was estimated to be 0.81 and 0.77 respectively. Data wereanalyzed by Pearson correlation method and regression. The results showed that administration s organizational climates with OCB is not positively significant. Relat ionship of organizat ional cl imates with OCB s facets were not significant Conclusion: As demonstrated by the findings of the present study, while the level of organizational climates was high among the administrators, the level of their organizational citizenship behavior don t change
