The relation between spirituality and happiness athlete university students in the city of Qom

Background: This study investigates the relationship between spirituality and happiness of athlete students in Qom universities. Materials and Methods: Due to aims of research, research methodology is descriptive in terms of the purpose and in terms of strategy and data collection was done by field. The sample consisted of all athlete students in Qom universities. Given the population size and using Morgan table, 226 individuals (mean age of athletes 23.03) students were selected as sample, sampling was conducted to Convenience Sampling method. In this study was used two Questionnaires of Oxford Happiness and spirituality questionnaire of Hall and Edwards. The one-sample t test, Pearson correlation coefficient and independent samples t-test was used. Results and Discussions: The results showed, there are difference between the observed and hypothetical mean of athlete students’ spirituality and happiness in Qom universities. There isn’t difference between mean scores of male and female athlete students’ happiness and spirituality in Qom universities. There is significant relationship between spirituality and happiness of male and female athlete students in Qom universities Conclusion: It is recommended that, Spirituality is a suitable predictor for male and female athlete students’ happiness in Qom universities
