Novel Janus magnetic nanoparticle synthesis and its applications as a demulsifier

In this project, a new polymer based magnetic nano- poly (methyl methacrylate-acrylamide-divinyl benzene) was synthesized and characterized by TEM, VSM and XRD techniques. Then, this demulsifier was used for the separation of water from crude oil. The results confirmed that the synthesized demulsifier was very effective in water separation. The separation of the demulsifier was very easy and it didn t contaminate the crude oil and the demulsifier was very cost-effective and eco-friendly.
