Compare of forest structure between Pinus eldarica and broad leave stands in Chitgar forest park (West of Tehran)

Forest structure includes vertical (number of tree layers) and horizontal features. The aim of this study is Compere of forest structure between broad leaved and Pinus eldarica stands in Chitgar forest park (west of Tehran). In this study 15square sample plots (25*20=500 m2) were collected in each site by randomize method. In every sample plot the position of tree, kind of species, diameter at breast height (cm), height (m), crown height (m) and two diameters of crown were recorded. In each species site,vertical and horizontal of this forest showed in the one sample (50×50 m, 0.25 hectare). Data analyzing was done bySPSS16, SVS (Stand Visualization System). The results showed that the Pinus eldarica stands characteristics including DBH, height and crown area were significantly higher than broad leaved stands. The chitgar forest park have a two story, and Pinus eldarica are in over story, but broad leaved located in the below story.
