Abstract:
Sexual addiction is a disorder that afflicts a person with difficulty in controlling or delaying sexual behaviors. Due to the prevalence of this disorder, screening methods are needed to identify and treat these people in order to prevent the social, physical and psychological consequences that affect the individual and society. In this study, a test to diagnose this disorder, called SAST-R, has been validated in Persian. To do this, 1268 online and available responses have been used. Results show high credibility in Cronbach s alpha (0.883), Convergent Validity (P=0.001, R=0.731), divergent validity (P=0.09, R=-0.132), and factor validity (CFI=0.884, GFI=0.873, RMSEA=0.047).
