Abstract:
The aim of this study was to treat the wastewater of anaerobic biological treatment with the extended bed reactor using three types of fillings (activated carbon, apricot pulp, olive kernel). The reactor was observed by observing COD concentration, , 50) of take-off of activated carbon, apricot pulp, olive pulp respectively,(96.2%, 90.06% and 91.63%) for each of the previous fillings, respectively. The treatment process was studied using different time periods. The optimum time to stay at the allowed concentration for irrigating agricultural land according to the Syrian standard is (8 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours) for activated carbon filling, apricot kernel filling and olive pulp filling respectively, A biological study of the biological treatment of wastewater from Al-Basil and Obstetrics Hospital in the extended bed, including the study of the biological growth mechanism within this bed on its granules
