GENERAL ADAMS METHODS FOR FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS abstract

Solving di erential equations of fractional (i.e., non-integer) order in an accurate,reliable and e cient way is much more di cult than in the standard integer-ordercase. In the eld of numerical treatment of FDEs great attention has been recentlydedicated to the development and the analysis of e cient and accurate methods,mostly of implicit type. In the present paper, we intend to extend the application ofthe general Adams methods to solve the fractional di erential equations. The stabilityproperties (stability region, /(A-stability, A( )-stability)are investigated and plots ofstability regions in the complex plane are presented.
