THE EXAMINATION OF DAMAGES FROM LAND SUBSIDENCE IN QAZVIN PLATEAU AND ITS ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS.

Qazvin province has got about 500 ha, land under cultivation. And it is one of the important, industrial and agricultural zones in Iran. Although, Qazvin plateau had been advertised restricted, more than 30 years ago (with regard to quit using ground water) but, unfortunately, the extraction of underground water resources continues. And it caused problems in quality and scarcity of water. Another effect is land subsidence in Qazvin plateau which results in demolition of water walls and of buildings, roads, water channels, highways,installation, beginning of crevices in the land. Due to the transformation of geomorphology and the chemical changes of quality water, there will be production of flood currents. This paper will present two environmental effects: influence pollutions fast to underground waters (such as heavy metals) – flood currents lands.
