Bio-reduction of silver ions to silver nanoparticles using plant extract abstract

Recently biosynthesis of nanometals utilizing plant extracts has opened a new era in fast andnontoxic methods for production of nanoparticles. In this work, the silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs)were synthesized with green tea and Origanum majorana leaf extracts as reduction agent, respectively. The structure and morphology of Ag-NPs were analysed by PXRD pattern and the nanoscale of produced particles were confirmed by SEM images. The size of particles was calculated byScherer formula. We can synthesized Ag-NPs by facile and fast method using nontoxic media at theroom temperature. Some bio-reduction processes to synthesize of silver nanoparticles were studied inthis research, too.
